It has that neat little thingy up in the corner that displays your flight number.

Game changer!
Yeah, it's great until you key the mike to call ground, in a busy place, and look for your trusty digital display call sign.... Only to realize that it disappears somewhere after the landing sequence and now you don't even know your name!

I like the Max because you have time to eat your breakfast during the engine start! 😁👍

That's a government plot to get us to single engine taxi.

Seriously though. Start two... start your taxi, then immediately start one.

There ya go. Saved you 5 minutes.

no you need to wait until the red line disappears then isolate and ventilate then put the eng start switch in CONT then ask if you can start 2.

It amazes me how slow people are starting the engines. Ince the start valve closes i start 2. That way by the time the #1 has rolled back the #2 is done motoring.
I do this on the NGs also.
I think SET on the max should be done almost all the time time permitting. The idle thrust is so great you have to drag the brakes with two engines anyways.

I’ve done that on the NG when the Captain is cool enough to permit it, but didn’t we get like a dozen RBFs saying not to do it on the MAX? Something about it presenting as a start malfunction and causing an inadvertent shutdown?

hmm maybe. I dont remember it has been too long. I know I used to do that on the max. I'm sure it was before an RBF said not to, if we got one saying that.

A little systems knowledge is a dangerous thing.

I’m looking forward to the new MCAS memory items!

Hopefully they’ll help us out with a nice shiny placard or two. There’s plenty of space up there.

A little bit of knowledge in any area can be a dangerous thing. I know your appendix is someplace on your right side. I learned to sew a button on last night at the hotel. Now hand me the knife.
