Four years ago:

I could never see why they wouldn’t just make the plane self-flying instead of designing a whole robot to do the same job. You really wouldn’t need a cockpit then.

It amazes me how slow people are starting the engines. Ince the start valve closes i start 2. That way by the time the #1 has rolled back the #2 is done motoring.
I do this on the NGs also.
I think SET on the max should be done almost all the time time permitting. The idle thrust is so great you have to drag the brakes with two engines anyways.
This is why we can’t have nice things.

lets see it run a power cord across the overhead panel, and then hang a garbage bag on the arm rest! I wonder what that retrofit would cost on a fleet of 750 airplanes? Maybe on the next fleet...
