Didn’t SkyWest or someone else give their new hires do exactly that by giving credit for 121 experience and paying them year for year based on previous experience in 121?

Maybe GoJet? But they also have street captains. Regionals have all kinds of gimmicks to lure people in lately....be interesting if that ever hits the big leagues eventually.

In reference to a national seniority list, maybe something like a guild that you buy into. Maybe most experienced overall and/or equipment hired first/. The guild is paid by the airlines which in turn pays the pilots. Once a pilot accepts the job, they are at the carrier until they choose to be somewhere else. Seniority based on total time/equipment again rules the roost. Ex. Regional: Newhire: cl65 etc. Guild says newhire for a RJ is 70K/yr. No 70K, no pilot. RJ CA. Guild is selling 5000TT CAs starting at 125K/yr. and so on. No pay-no pilot. pretty simple. Just an idea. Majors- same thing.
