Also, being in uniform used to be a benefit because you look vaguely cop like in the leather jacket without your flair on. Looking vaguely cop like is no longer a benefit.

The cheap pilot in me hates having to pay for the Uber across town in either Chicago, Houston, or DFW, but every time I have done it, I have never regretted it. I probably do it in Houston once a month on average. DFW DART is really good, so I have only ubered once there when I was pressed for time. DART takes you right to the Burbank station and you can walk to the shuttle stop that takes you from the training center to the airport.
