The ones who realize the wheels have come off the bus and do not GAS anymore , just say 5/20 all that matters or 5/20 club. This place is a rudderless ship with top mgt. that could care less about the front line employees. Make matters worse they try and pit each work group against the others .

Just curious when did the tradition of Class Elder, Class Baby and throwing a party for the next class start? I ask because when I got hired in 1994 none of these traditions existed.

The only thing we did at my class in 14' was throw the party for the next class, and collect $ for the charity.

No elder or baby stuff, although our class elder decided he was the self appointed leader/den mother. So that was fun.

Guessing it started or was brought back from the dead sometime between your class and mine. We had a cane and rattle with all kinds of stuff hanging off it

I can 100% get behind the hesitation a small class would have with throwing a party for the following class if it was multitudes of times larger. The right thing ought to be for the previous class before the most recent one to pitch in and help, since they wouldn't have had as much to cover for their party. For instance, if class #6 had 60 new-hires, #7 had 12, and #8 had 52, Classes 6 & 7 could go in together for class 8's party.

I don’t remember throwing the class behind us a party. I remember attending their new hire dinner the night before their class started. We drank a bunch of free beers, did a skit and some singing, drank some more and then caught the bus back to the Anatole. Then we clicked through some CBTs the next day.

I’m pretty sure you did have this tradition in your class. My class handed it off to your class at the party we threw for you.

this is exactly what happened. Minus the hesitation.
