Hello, interviewing soon. Considering multiple factors. Tracking the pay scale on APC for SWA. Question: what’s a safe guesstimate for year 1 pay on reserve without picking up any open time or factoring in junior mans and decreased winter flying. Trying to use a conservative number. Based on APC rates, not sure if it’d be a wash or break even being a FO there for the next 8 years. Thanks in advance.

Plan on around $100k. You can easily do way better.
I made $170k yr 2 and that was back in 2017. Pay rates are quite a bit higher now due to COLA increases.
Far as recessions go….I’d rather be here than anywhere else.
