That’s the world we live in, unfortunately. It’s the way most human beings are. Most people are focused on themselves most of the time (I’m not claiming to be any different).

None of us chose to be full-time missionaries or non-profit volunteers or similar where, perhaps, we might expect to witness a little less self-centeredness.

People are the way they are. Airline pilots are the way they are. I doubt that’ll change anytime soon.

Aww thanks man. Figured that was you when you mentioned 7 airlines. How many more of us could there be? 🤣

Not counting one short corporate gig, I am on #8 scheduled carriers. 5 121 and 3 135. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have gotten the BKs (2) and furloughs (2) out of my system early on.

Guess there are more of us than I thought. This is number 10 for me. My wife tells me it's my last (whether I like it or not). 🤣

..........I actually think this is the perfect response to the "new hire" thread that FH plant started the other week.

they'll be back under a new user name with more ideas on how to not alienate new pilots with our bitter unproductive ideas like strike authorization votes.
