My bad , I left out or he calls the pilot group a bunch of plumbers, and turned all of HQ against the pilot group. I have never seen such hate

I keep reading about a reference to plumbers. Is there a link somewhere to this?

Yes

Email the chairman of the board at WN ( ex CEO) and ask him what he thinks of the pilot group. I am sure he will have no problem telling you .

While you’re at it ask him what his incompetent little buddy is doing. Inquiring minds would like to know

Well it’s page 3. Should probably bring the AT merger into this.

I’m finishing up an application and will submit before the end of the window.

I think I’ll hold off on emails to the C-Suite at this point. I have no idea what was said but I do know I’ve opened mouth and inserted foot a few times over decades of running a business so it doesn’t move the needle for me.

Maybe its hard to believe but I’m looking forward to working with y’all at Southwest.

Best,

Best,

You will love the pilot group , I do think the new CEO wants to make this a better place(just not sure how much his hands are tied ) I am pretty sure the new CEO does not despises the pilot group.

It's just instructive to remind pilots that in the eyes of mgmt (all mgmt at all airlines) that you are really just necessary "expensive" labor and although the path to achieve the quals/job are much lengthier and the scope of duties is much more consequential, in mgmt's eyes your still just expensive labor, no different than the plumbers that work on the terminal, or the janitors that clean the HQ buildings.

Sometimes, newer pilots tend to see themselves as different or separate from other labor groups at the airline, but this is a reminder that in Mgmt's eyes, this is not so and you get what you negotiate for, not what you think is deserved.

Delta's VP (now CEO) during the BK hearing said something to the effect that "he lays awake at night wondering if he'd taken enough out of the pilots contract" to make it a go after BK. After that transcript was published, for the next decade he has/was known as "sleepy Ed" by the pilots.

Agreed

The sooner we all learn that we are not worthy of industry leading pay and work for a third tier airline, the better. I will try to do better lowering my self-esteem and self-worth. My bad

Here is for hoping for more SWAG points and another GDO. Who needs more pay per hr, I can just work on my days off .

It's on the Southwest Union forum so no link. But the basics are that back in 2013 Mr Kelly was talking with a group of Pilots, going through upgrade, and other employees at a lunch. He said that there is a market rate for pilots just like there is a market rate for plumbers and since he wouldn't overpay a plumber he wouldn't overpay pilots.
