Aren't we ALL in the union?
I see the deduction on my workday pay sheet.

You can opt out of SWAPA representation, but are still required to pay dues.

I know of a few Kool Aid stirrers who did it years ago, during JW's first go as prez. It was some sort of "protest" when they thought that (old) SWApA was trying to "kill the golden goose".

That was a complete joke itself, since in spite of JW, most of the reps were still in the give the company whatever it wanted mindset.

Yep, we do have non-participants. Because we fly a SWAPA contract, pilots have to pay. I guess I’m interested in how many will not be voting. My newhire class had a vocal person upset that he had to pay.

He could have done the bare minimum of research and then found a non-union shop company to work for.

Agreed. If anything, be a team player and appreciate representation.

I wonder….can one get the list of non-SWAPA members from SWAPA?

I remember ALPA used to publish the list of non-members on the seniority list.
