Default When is STL going to be a crew base?

Or is it BNA?
or maybe something really cool that I don’t even know about?
is this something that would be in the new contract as opposed to an LOA?

Just as soon as the Dreamliners show up on property. Seriously, do you think any of us line swine are given any information about this?

Interesting graphic in a company e-mail this morning that shows the "network backbone." It's an image of the US with all of our bases highlighted in yellow plus three additional parts the "backbone" which are BNA, STL and HNL.

Take it however you like.

So what you are saying is that HNL will be announced as the new base about a week after we finally get a contract and all the BNA and STL commuters can dream for another 5 years.

Straight out of the Ford Harrison/Management playbook.

I would give that about as much credit as I would BJ. That is simply a tactic.

I do appreciate your Old School reference, but when they announced they were "studying" new crew bases, anyone who has been here more than a couple of years just rolled our eyes and scrolled on. They should always be studying new crew bases. Why wouldn't they?
Every commuter in every big city is dying for their place to become a crew base. There are always rumors and there is always hope. Then they have a rally there. Everyone holds their breath and gets ready to uncork the champagne. Than the eventual letdown. Rinse and repeat.

I thought that ipad App with an envelope on the icon was a new game.
The goal of the game is to 'swipe left' as fast as you can, and if letters pop up on the right side of the screen you lose.

This time it’s different. SWA is really going to change. They’re working hard on themselves. I know they actually luv me.
