Never Mind. What's the QOL/Upgrade time at FDX?
They’re not hiring and are parking the MD10/11’s. Most jr per this site is a Aug ‘17 hire to the 757. QOL is good though if you don’t mind 3rd shift. My friends there love it. Lots of hotel time for activities on a trip.

they're also in negotiations...
honestly if he can swing it FedEx at IND would be the best fit. He could also use his travel bank to buy tickets to his other job.

Yeah if FedEx opens up hiring again it would be a done deal for me…but at this point I guess I gotta plan if they don’t. If Delta brought back CVG this would have been an easy decision.

I’m also weighing Delta’s 18hr long call. If I can swing that, or widebody flying, I might be able to make commuting from IND not as bad.

If you’re dead set on IND and staying there and your only reasons for leaving are WB…I’d just stay here until FedEx starts hiring and leave for there.

18 hr long call IND to DTW should be a no brainer

I live in IND, Air Force Reserve gig is in Florida, currently based in MCO with SWA. I have over 35yrs left. If I go to Delta I’m planning on ATL since It’s in between both IND and Florida. Either way it seems like I may have to commute to something until I get a place in Florida, but still I need to be in IND for my family. So at this point just debating quality of life choices.

Anyone care to weigh in on this?
If this is who I think it is we've chatted about this a bit bro. You can't go wrong with the 18hr call out at DL especially if you're going to stay in IND. If seniority is you're worry remember that even though your overall seniority may not be the greatest your seniority in base may not be bad at DL. I'm experiencing that at Brown now. If MCO is somewhere you think you're going to stay then staying at SWA might not be a bad idea if WB flying isn't your goal. They'll get a contract eventually. If you're thinking about FDX definitely think hard about the type of flying you want to do. It's not a bad place but cargo is different especially when you get into night hub turns. The money will be great but the QOL might not be depending on the individual.

well before they stopped hiring, it was literally 2 decades earlier to hold WB Ca at FedEx vs delta. Now that they won’t be hiring for a while and are parking md11s It’ll probably drop to only a decade sooner.
