I take managements lead on them, I could care less.

I didn’t make hundreds of thousands miss holidays with family because they didn’t invest in technology since 1994.

I don’t decide to leave people behind on the last flight of the night because on time is more important than peoples lives.

I don’t decide to not man flights thus causing delays and cancellations.

I don’t decide to push off MX so passengers are flying on non APU airplanes in the summer. Seriously we have 70 airplanes as spares yet the APU deferrals are still around.

Management obviously does not care about the cargo so why should I? Please tell me why I should?

I think you read the top of your pay stub too often….the company does not care about them.

Amused at the arrogance; the constant whining about terms and conditions and life, then the open distain for the only source of revenue and the reason the company exists. Always impressive, the dog that bites the hand that feeds. Some must hate their job, and themselves as much as the "self-loading freight" that they loathe so much. So yes, in between replacing all the door handles on my wife's car, running errands, drywall work and the various honey-do's (and don'ts of time at home), moments of rest before going again, one one might call that boredom.

Think of it as cheap entertainment, like standing aside and watching a gaggle of clawing housewives gouge each others eyes out over fifty cents off of spiderman three-packs of underwear at a blue light special. One shakes one's head, observes the shades of humankind, and expresses silent gratitude that at least the store has air conditioning, before trudging off to wait for the next brawling revelation of true-self. In those restful moments between chores and building another bookcase for the spare room, as I sip some icewater and purge email files, it's either this or pick the wings off dead flies for five minutes.

Ah, time's up.I have a damaged suitcase to go rivet and repair.

You are SO misguided if you believe the self loading cargo are the reason this place exists. This place exists ONLY to enrich management and shareholders. They don’t care how they do that. Be that self off parts and break it up and shut it down or turning it into a night club. They do not care about the passengers at all, that point is clear. They do not care about the employees that point is clear. They care about one thing and one thing only, to enrich the shareholders and the stakeholders be damned!
