If you’re cool with your chief pilot (you didn’t call in sick or fatigued too much), you can call them up and beg for a pass. They’ll probably give you one so you can go get your treatment done on your COBRA coverage.

The irony is she’s presently further away from being “Real Captain Morgan” at SWA than she would be at pretty much any competitor….🤣

Good. This is as close to social media as I get. And even then, sometimes it’s too much.

hey let’s pretend I’m a complete idiot and don’t know how to apply the 1.149 TFP conversion to that table? Can you lay it out for me with an example?
Is it 74 guarantee x 1.149 x your TFP longevity rate?
or is the 74 already counting that?

Every other airline in the Free World pays by hourly rate. We use TFP. TFP is a complicated formula that looks at many things included how many 243 NM segments are covered in that leg in question. Considering 9/10 SWA pilots can’t fully describe the complexities of TFP, you shouldn’t be too worried about it either. All you really need to know is this:

- Take every other airline’s hourly rate and divide by 1.149 to get the TFP equivalent.

- Multiply every other airline’s hourly rate by 1.149 to get an equivalent TFP rate.
