Hopefully the polling accurately captures the new landscape.

OALs have far better life insurance, disability, profit sharing, pay, parental leave, etc. Hell, they even get more vacation than we do.

We need big improvements in ALL sections.

What are you willing to give up for that?

Oh wait , never mind You already pay for parking ,uniforms, do not get passes once sick time runs out when out on medical ect….

Yes, exactly.

To bring this thread back to the OP’s point, I hope everyone checks out the pilotpaycompare.com site, especially the “SWA Hypothetical” feature before filling out the pay portion of SWAPA’s polling so they can have a realistic idea of how far behind we are and how large the raise needs to be just to match the OAL’s and how even larger the raise needs to be to achieve a premium on the OAL’s given that, according to SWAPA’s FP2020, we fly 83% more departures, 63% more passengers, and 24% more block hours than Delta.

Nothing…. not a damn thing. It’s an industry norm at this point.

Why would anyone give anything up for that, especially in this pilot shortage market?

I would take this list, put it on the table and tell the company to figure out how to make it work. NO CONCESSIONS!!!!
