BNA Domicile Setup

We did the company move and have moved to south central TN. I’m in the bottom 30 on the captain side (late 2015 hire) but surprised to have moved up a few in the last bid. I was also surprised to hold a blank line. I live just over an hour from the airport but we scored a nice house in the country. I’m liking it a lot so far and the people couldn’t be any nicer.

Welcome to God’s country! Same area myself, about an hour and a half south of Nashville.
Upcoming interview myself, so hopefully to see you on the hotel shuttle at some point down the road!
-FYI, best bbq around is at a little place in Summertown, TN, called Shaffer’s. Brisket is incredible.

I’ll keep it in mind but I’ve been duped so many times on “good brisket”. I stick with smoking it at home or buying it in central Texas. Pulled pork and poultry seems to be the only quality bbq in the southeast. Sometimes, you can get lucky on pork ribs.

It’s good. Ole boy that runs it was a native Texan (recently passed away), but it’s about as good as I’ve had. Definitely good and worth the trip, though!
Check the times….i think they’re only open til 5-6 and closed on Sundays….Saturdays around lunch are super busy as well.

Facts. You can’t beat real Texas pit smoked BBQ. This place is actually labeled “Texas BBQ.” The smokers are outside. Helped free up a stuck Amish buggy next to the parking lot.
