Destination 225 is for Losers
#21
I once had SWA as my #2.
Yall never called. However, it was your culture and all my buddies that worked there that made it a destination.
You all are still the nicest most welcoming to offline jumpseaters by far, but the deep belief in SWA culture isn’t there in crews and rampers at least.
I do think it can come back, like I believe Delta can come back to what it was (we arent as premium anymore as we think we are).
The good news for both of us is that I believe SWA and Delta can weather a round of carpetbagging managers. It may be rough for the next few years though if this downturn ever kicks in. DAL and SWA are still my long term stock picks in airlines.
cheers bros!

Maybe the bruises are from the low 737 overhead which always seems to sneak in a smack while getting out of the seat for a taller pilot?

Maybe a hybrid model would work better?

they’d have to convince our cabin and customer service employees that premium passengers deserve premium service. That might be a bridge too far.

Did anyone actually read the article or are we all just commenting on the headline? I’m legitimately curious as to what it says, but the only option I’m given to read more is to sign up for a $200/year subscription.

From: DOWNGRADE COMPLETE: Thanks Gary. Thanks SWAPA.
The “attitude” on so many of them is appalling. It’s the ultimate in “cringe-worthy”.

In regards to this, the way our customers get treated is downright embarrassing and unprofessional. If I actually paid for tickets I’d either not fly SWA or the minute I’d get any disrespect from any ground Ops employee I’d call them out on it pronto.

I like to key up the PA and hold the mic next to my leg during boarding just to get some flipping silence. Everyone knows they need to put their bag in the overhead and sit down. Saying it 300 times doesn’t speed the process up.
