I cant remember but did FP 2020 ask to limit the amount of reserves?
DEN FO AM this weekend had 25 pilots on reserve, just the AM side. PM had 15. That's a little extreme IMO

Would love to see those numbers in PHX sometime.

How many of those were original awards vs rsv blocks picked up via open time? On the CA side lots of open time blocks are being picked up with people hedging they won’t get called.

Those blocks didn't materialize out of thin air. They were in the original bid package. Unless guys were given a reserve trip and then subsequently gave away the reserve but kept the trip... They aren't "making" new reserve blocks for open time bidders.

I get that…if you go to SWAPA RCO and pick a day more than 2 days out it’ll show how many they have currently on rsv….and then the open time report will show how many rsv blocks are up for grabs.

I bid rsv and until this week….coverage has been like it always is….not enough.

exactly. The company has to put the reserve into open time except for (Feb, sept)?
So there could have been more. I was just looking at the RCO for each day over the weekend and these are the guys in reserve for each day.
During the week it's still pretty high.
It pretty much eliminated premium.
I watched a trip that didnt fit a reserve block based on time and the comapny split it 3 times to get it to fit and gave each part to a reserve.
piad way more than original premium but I get the had to use that 2 dozen guy in reserve.
I know FP talked about more commutable pairings etc but I don't think they talked about the max reserves.

I’m on a trip now that was split 3 ways and would’ve been legal for 1 PM rsv to do the whole thing. I was 6/8 this weekend for a 3 day block and we were all used. Next weekend there’s like 15 of us for a 3 day block. 1 unused day so far this month.

Eliminating STC will help keep more Rsv’s on deck. When they see more are sitting around they’ll either eliminate some Rsv’s and create less block heavy lines to spread it around or double down and use us just because we’re there which creates premium when we’re all gone.

12 premium awards in my base yesterday. Today mostly straight awards from people picking up Rsv blocks…they’ll get burned first since they have no ulitization.

I've heard that referenced, who originally said that people would regret leaving?
