Eliminating STC will help keep more Rsv’s on deck. When they see more are sitting around they’ll either eliminate some Rsv’s and create less block heavy lines to spread it around or double down and use us just because we’re there which creates premium when we’re all gone.

12 premium awards in my base yesterday. Today mostly straight awards from people picking up Rsv blocks…they’ll get burned first since they have no ulitization.

that and throw in ELLIT reserve and it actually may go senior for a bit. Give me 6 days reserve 9 off and I'll do that for the rest of my career

Firm maybe as well. Also, I think you misjudge the sentiment on the left side of the cockpit. Neither FOs or Cptns. should be getting shafted.

Actually, I lay the blame for this on SWAPA with the caveat that I don’t know what happened in the negotiating room. They should have just negotiated Cptn. rates and insisted on 70% for FOs. Problem solved and no angst amongst either side of the cockpit.

🔥👇

You guys have no freaking idea what happened in the negotiating room. The whole 757/737 rate thing is dumb. The rate is the rate. Any comparisons to other carrier pay rates is just that...a comparison. What is the 12 year captain rate and how are the other pay steps being compensated? Is it industry standard? If not, why?
Go over to TOF, guys are losing their minds over a rumor. Even if it's true, there is zero complete data to go off of and no color from negotiators.
I know it's hard, but I implore you....wait for the TA. Then ask questions.

Edit - this wasn't directed at you whack, I just happened to reply to your post

SWA pilots are acting just as bad as the FA’s. Never heard of anything this bad at the big 3 during negotiations. They are rumors off a message board. Go enjoy life and wait for the real thing.

and yes.. rates are just rates. Those who choose to attach them to someone are just looking for an irrelevant comparison to justify an opinion.

if CA can’t be happy w/ industry leading pay and are willing to delay a contract over $7/hr TOS, then we are just like the FA. Don’t let a fragile ego get in the way of a good thing.

and yes.. the nmb would ice us if we did so and there would be no strike leverage to fall back on.

I don't want the BOD to send out a turd of a payscale to vote on, when they can address it now before they turn it into a TA. There's no way I would vote yes on 737 + 1%. If it's true, why waste everyone's time?

It was a SWAPA exec at the upgrade/newhire dinner at the SWAPA offices

At least that is what the guy who posted it said

I do hope BOD is taking note however, I bet you could see clear to vote yes on 737 + 1% if NEC went straight to 20 and MBCBP was 5% (not saying it is). Let’s wait and see and not lose all our marbles yet.

You're right. That's a lot of extra money on the table.
