I got a demerit from TL the forum czar for using the term 'china virus'.....I mean, it didn't come from Peoria, did it?!
I guess because a loud mouth guy used that term, now I am a die hard supporter and fomented political acrimony because I used a term that made me giggle.

In full disclosure, I've been working on my sense of humor for years to no avail. According to the wife, I am a 15 year old.

Too funny. I got a 30 day ban after they said that it was not PC, and bannable language to refer to it as the "China" virus.

To follow the rules, I instead referred to it as the Kung Flu and Wu Tang flu, and got banned.

No warning, no recourse or any way to even question it. I couldn't even PM the moderator that banned me.

I called the SWAPA comm chairman, and he overrode the overzealous moderator, and I got back on. Surreal.....

Good to see that some things never change.

Guys are banned based on what the moderators on the SWAPA forum like T.L. and P.M percieve to be their political standing. If TL thnkis you're Conservative Trump supporter, he will look for any and all reasons to ban anyone. TL used to have a big socia media presence on Twiiter/X and Facebook, but that has all been removed, because I'm sure people started looking at it and found out what TL true beliefs are.

There was a BWI Captain that was a terrible name caller on SWAPA forum and many of the more notable guys on the SWAPA forum called him out for many times, and complained about him daily , but nothing ever seemed to happen to that guy. TL and others, like ST, who supposely mangages the moderators, just find a way to moderate or ban the guys who complained about this BWI Captain. SWAPA forum is useless for half the pilot group.

There is good information on there sometimes. Like now I like that some are putting cliff notes of the the new reserve system along with changes and pay .

Did you know that in MDW lounge, they parental-blocked Fox News Channel and Fox Business News, but you can watch MSNBC and CNN all day long? Ask them why, and they go into this long spiel about vendor, how it's practically impossible to change, etc.

Naw, definitely not aimed against a number of pilots who prefer not to watch CNN or MSNBC if they want to watch any news.

Just leave ESPN on. Or Shark Week. Deadliest catch? How hard is this guys? Leave your religion and politics at home! I feel the same way about the guys who leave the little pamphlets about accepting Jesus into your life around the crew lounge or in the bathroom. Save this stuff for your time off.

seriously, I cant tell you how many times I've been watching a football game eating a burrito and have a guy turn it to fox news then leave. The news will still be breaking when you get home/hotel.
is there a SWA news channel or luv channel it can be put on. Maybe install a kool aid machine also.
