seriously. The headset guy was a couple yrs back. Had a cKp stop me in the jet bridge as I was getting off , switching crews, to tell me my tie wasnt tied tight enough. I hadn't even made it past the door before he said "hey your tie isnt tied tight". I was literally getting my stuff and leaving.
he the proceeded to tell me how we're the highest paid 737 guys in the world and my tie needs to be tied better.
Has there been a secret ckp meeting lately?

I dont button my top button on my shirt, cant wait for some CKP to get in a tizzy over that.
I checked the appearance manual, nothing in there about buttoning the top, so bring it.
Also you dont have to wear the MH pants, so who cares.

Seems like there is an uptick in appearance standards.
I know the FAs have been dealing with this for over a year now. I'm not talking about obvious appearance issues but asinine criticisms.
is this from the top or is it because we trained a few more ckp lately and some snuck through?
Is there a place to report these few other than pro standards?

Had one give me crap in a DEN jetbridge because he said my leather jacket wasn’t approved. I bought a Pops Leather jacket because Perrone was more expensive and took longer to get, and it was winter and I needed a jacket (before Karbon jackets). I asked where it showed the approved jacket vendors and he said, “it’s in there somewhere…”. Asked if it was in the FOM, CBA….and he didn’t answer so I walked off.
Had a PHX CKA give me crap about something unrelated to flying after he sat in the jumpseat and begged for a ride to SAN so he could do some ETOPS OE. I told him I didn’t care and that he wasn’t my boss. He asked who my CP was so I told him and said my CP wouldn’t give two s$&!s and he could use my phone to call him since I have his cell. He sat in the corner of the hotel van and shut up. I’m not on probation and I’m not playing games with idiots who want to nitpick just to nitpick.
If you’re following the AOM and not doing something stupid, WGAF what kind of jacket or brand of pants you’re wearing? People need to quit making easy hard.

They want professional looks but provide a **** product. Go figure.

Let them call me out, I wear the uniform as spelled out in the manual. I was called out once by a check airman for wearing my carbon coat over street duds….. it won’t happen again. If called out on the jet bridge, I will politely ask for a pic of their ID and make my way to the next jump seat home. F that guy and let him explain to the company why I’m headed home instead of operating my assigned flight….. our uniforms are a joke…. As in, wear whatever tie/coat/blazer/ shoe/ 8 lunch boxes (you know who you are you Sherpa d;@pS$&$s)….. yep….M&H shirts never get a top button…… we aren’t uniform, and to being called out is absolute Airforce BS
