Fingerprints/Background checks
Received a email from the union. Pilots are being removed from trips with no explanation. Evidently, the kompany and background checkers did not do things correctly. Not sure how widespread the problem is. I wonder if the SWAPA forum being down this long is deliberate?

This is the junk tons of NHs are going through right now. And just a few days ago I had a 3 year FO DH on my flight that was sent home in the middle of a trip for the same thing. He was telling us he was pretty worried becasue all he got was a call from scheduling telling him that he was immediately pulled from flying for paperwork not being in order and no further explanation given. Obviously he probably figured things out after talking to his Chief, but you can see where that would be awkward when it went down.
Makes me wonder just how messed up things are in DAL for this kind of stuff to happen? Occasional mistakes will happen but when hundreds of pilots are being grounded? Maybe they should save the 2 hour lunchtime pickleball sessions until after work...

it takes days to get one department to ask another a question and get a response instead of walking down the hall.

Does this have anything to do with the lady camped in the DAL lounge who was asking everybody that came in if they'd had their fingerprints checked yet? She was there a couple weeks ago when I went down to eat my lunch, and two weeks prior to that as well.

On the line for 3 years without PRIA being completed? The FAA is gonna love this! I seem to remember this being done before IOE or you couldn't start IOE. Hopefully this incompetence doesn't impact the Pickleball League too much!
