About 5 yrs ago I had our mx FAA guy in the JS. I asked him if he had any good rumors. He said in about 5 yrs we would get another type.

We will get a new type around 2040, but it won't be the B787. It will be whatever POS Boeing puts out to replace the B737. Likely with the same FMC software in use today...

Seems optimistic, I don't think the Max will be certified by 2040.
