Please tell me that he had a good tax dive and didn’t pay full taxes on all of that.

I saw that today. Drip, drip, drip. Less word salad and more concrete thoughts on the network and fleet. Seems to be open to alot of things. Shot down the hub and spoke theory of just a few hubs and many spokes. Other than that, it appears to be(through the guidance of the BOD) of more change is working its way through the puzzle palace. Hinted in 2026, he may have more to say about a a non 737 airplane. We'll see.

Bob never blocked his board and would tell you in great detail how he hustled the system. I did some quick back of the napkin math using his TFP totals and estimate he made around 1.3M last year. Not a bad haul for a 737 captain. I couldn't live my life like he does, but more power to him. I hope he finds a very time consuming hobby. Dude will kill it on medical assuming he has LTD A and tax free LOL.
He basically did the work of 3 pilots for his whole career, so despite his blatant sick call abuse, the company tolerated his antics. He was above board, which is a lot more than I could say for some of the other shady characters around this place.
The only good karma that could find its way to this clown would be if he were hit by a bus the day he’s no longer on property. I flew with him. Total narcissistic A hole.

Here’s our managers idea of our WB flying.

I’m excited to share that we’ve just signed documents with our second airline partner, China Airlines, which serves routes between Taipei, Taiwan, and four airports in our network—LAX, SFO, SEA, and ONT. Those will be our initial gateway stations as we begin connecting Customers and bags to and from China Airlines flights in early 2026. We’re preparing for those interline itineraries to go on sale later this year, initially through channels directed by China Airlines including third-party travel sites like Expedia, Google Flights, and Kayak. We continue to move toward an ability to sell these journeys at Southwest.com and in our channels.

Our work to develop Airline Partnerships is one of the many exciting areas where we’re investing in the future of Southwest. Not only do these relationships literally bring our Customers more choice with new ways to get to new places, but they are also helping transform and transport Southwest to a new place as a Company in new spotlights on the global stage.

I’m honored to represent all of you this week at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of IATA, the International Air Transport Associationwe joined earlier this year. This year’s AGM is in New Delhi, India, which is why we signed the China Airlines agreement while our redeyes were in the air overnight. We’re also meeting here with Icelandair and are excited to announce additional gateways (MCO, PIT, RDU) coming online in July as our initial airline partnership continues to develop as expected. Since beginning to partner with Icelandair in the first quarter, we’ve already connected dozens of cities on our network with Europe.

I cautiously view it as a positive for now. Hopefully this leads to market development and we take over the flying in the future. Wish in one hand and you know how the rest of the saying goes…

You said the key word. "Market development." Buying a bunch of widebodies and putting in gold plated toilets with half the airplane having mini condo's is not going to get SWA anywhere. The sucking sound of money going out the door would be staggering. Their have been many airlines like Midwest, who IMO had the best domestic product ever in scheduled service, went out of business and countless other companies that had incredible hard products but couldn't generate enough revenues to cover the cost's. To be fair, none of the airlines had a customer base as big as SWA and the network to go with it. It's a good foundation to start from. The most profitable segment of US travel right now is long haul international. No airline is making money domestically in all four quarters. Yields are strong in that segment. DAL, UAL and AAL will not sit by and let SWA slowly eat away at it's most profitable segment. They will fight SWA all the way and the have the experience and infrastructure to do it. Market development is key. They already figured out how to kill SWA the LCC domestically. Don't think for one second they'll try to do it on the international front.
