Just to clarify he means no new off the street hires. “Off the street” hires in the context of this thread means the 300 pilots pool consisting of all none D225 cadets.

correct, the ONLY hiring right now are those who already hold CJOs who were not given a class date in 2023-2024, and 225, that's it.

I was in the office recently talking to Joe and he said word he got was people coming back by next summer at the latest. Tracks with what displaced guys I’ve flown with were told by Swapa.

Gotta think with 140 NH this year + whatever they do next year should have a bunch of guys using ROR to get back where they want.

I have heard the same from multiple (some reliable) sources. The plan is to push staffing back out west to better cover redeye pairings when they inevitably go off the rails and to beef up staffing for next summer. It can't happen soon enough. Denver really got cut. I was able to hang on there, but I know there are a ton of folks displaced that will be happy to get back.

As in reduce the eastern base numbers or just add all the NHs out West?

I think it’s safe to say that zero new hires will be “out West”. Just bustin your chops.
