I was solid middle blanks last summer and now can’t hold but the bottom 5 or so. But…I’m still driving to work when many aren’t so I can’t complain. Other than rsv having little flexibility on changing days (until rsv elitt hits EOY), it’s not a bad gig (can always get the schedule you want with a sick click).

Agreed, we have so many RoR out east right now that the second hiring starts, they will start to move back to their bases. I foresee BWI being the new hire base for some time.

im super curious to see reserve ellit in action. If I can move blocks to get big blocks of time off i might end up just doing reserve 9 months of the yr

Don't know. The two sources I would consider reliable have plainly stated that there will be pilots added to western bases and specifically Denver and that it is largely due to redeyes since they have decided that super early morning originators out of the bases aren't money makers and therefore the pilots previously needed to make that happen were shifted east in the original redeye rollout.
Hoping Mark S will put something official out soon. It's sorely needed.

Whenever swa hires the vacancy typically has openings in several bases at once in a somewhat balanced distribution.

But… hundreds of displaced pilots are stuck east so even if the vacancy had 30 openings in Oak and zero for remainder of the bases there would be a giant sucking sound as displaced pilots move west and all the new hires will end up in Bwi for the first couple months.

I bid rsv except for summer and VA months last year. Was gonna do the same this year…and didn’t really get that choice due to displacements. Elitt would be nice so you can move stuff around in case you need a day off for family stuff or want to do back to back 3 day blocks to open up a week.

Personally, I believe ELITT in general will continue to be worthless as long as we allow the company to keep things like self-assigned DTC, Net Zero and charging all the duty periods in a trip to the first day.

If we are keeping notes for the next CBA, that is one that should be high on the hit list. ELITT needs to be completely redone. Along with manually assigning every Open Time award.

They’ll have all DOT rsv blocks included. Line holders will have the ability to pick up rsv blocks if they want. Maybe that’ll let rsv’s drop blocks and pick up from elitt/TTGA/OT. Who knows…but the ability to even move a block a day or drop is nonexistent now unless it’s Sept or Feb.

I should know seeing how it could affect my quality of life, but when does Reserve Elitt go live? I have poked around and can’t find a date or if it still on track for that date.
