Did you already have a CJO? I did not realize they opened things up to anyone outside the ones that had CJO’s in 2024.

Has anyone gotten a call back after the logbook review? I’m in the waiting game again and they didn’t explain how the process was for getting a call back after the review.
Another pilot who did theirs the same day just got a call and given a CJO today this afternoon. We both had original CJOs from November 23 |

Wait, so you got a CJO and they rescinded it? What have you been doing since that CJO was issued?
Been flying 121. Been at the same regional. Upgraded to CA last year and added a new type. 5000 TT, 1500ish multi turbine, 500 TPIC. No degree and one checkride bust (ILOE) Not sure which of those stats are the new deal breaker, but I didn't make it to the logbook review. After updating my times, I got the call a few days later that I wasn't moving forward. I suspect it's the LOE unsat, but I didn't get the chance to talk about it, so I'm not sure. No feedback was given. The kick is that I have to wait a year from now (not 12/'23 when I actually interviewed) to reapply. So if hiring kicks off for real in January, I can't apply then, even though it will have been over 2 years since I last applied. I suppose that if I'm not competitive now, I won't be competitive 4 months from now anyway. While not getting the job sucked, at least I currently have a 121 job that pays pretty well and that I don't dislike. There are lots of people in a much worse situation than me. WN is still a goal of mine, so I'll just keep making them tell me no every 12 months... |

Sadly, I can confirm they are not honoring all of the CJOs that were given out and then told "keep improving yourself and you still have a CJO once we start hiring again". I know someone that went through the logbook review last week and was then turned away. Since receiving the first CJO in Nov 2023, he successfully upgraded to CA (Part 121) and flew 850+ hours PIC. His upgrade was clean, no issues. He did have one training failure almost four years ago and that was disclosed and discussed in his first interview back in Nov 2023. He had to discuss it again during his logbook review last week and felt good about how he handled the questions. He was told they would be in touch after considering everything and 3 days later he received a TBNT email with a "you can reapply again in a year".
He was devastated. He had been charging hard since the first CJO, had a perfect record since then, and assumed that doing so would land him a class date when the time came. His approximate stats: 4,100TT 2,050 Part 121 850+ Part 121 PIC 400 Twin Turboprop PIC Only failure ever was needing to repeat a MV during initial at his regional |

Wow. That's crap. Most of us have had similar silly issues crop up at some point in our careers. I am sorry to hear that this is happening. Sounds like he will make a great FO for another airline.
