You are certainly right about that. It is nearly impossible nowadays for someone to get all of their ratings done in 13 months due to aging airplane fleets, scheduling issues, DPE shortages, and more.

I heard back from a chief pilot 4 days after the logbook interview.

Idk where in the process I stack with the other candidates, but I did my logbook review on Wednesday, got the call from Mark (IAH Chief Pilot I believe?) on Saturday formally extending the offer. He said to expect some emails from Talent Acquisition or LEAD Ops, those gave me some directions on how to finish additional stuff on Workday.

Finished up everything on Workday, and they said I can have any class date I want, so long as it's the Nov 24th class. App still says "in review" as the background checks chug through and they make sure I don't have any surprise DUI's or axe murders I guess.

Third class date's the charm (hopefully)! I wanna quit in October, but at this point I've already been burned twice on class dates, so I'm a little hesitant.

Does SWA still have an application terminal where you can keep all your info up to date, and then "apply" during the window on a second website when it actually opens up? Or is everything all-in-one once they eventually reopen the window?
