Just hoping they don’t do more displacements…my schedule sucks about as bad as it can get without doing a forced commute. Hoping for good news…at some point soon.
I just rode in the back of a 777 and 787 to and from Europe, let me say, if I see a flight over 5-6 hours and it's on a 737 I WILL NOT BUY IT. A DEN-HNL flight in the MAX 7 would be borderline torture.

IMO.

I knocked, they welcomed me in and issued me my New Balance sneakers and iPhone belt clip to go along with my braided belt.

All depends on the seating configuration. We took Air France 777 CDG-ORD and the seats had ample pitch and leaned waaaay back, allowing you to actually rest comfortably, even in a middle. I took an AA 777 a while back LHR-ORD and it was not the same experience. In any case, everyone gets up and takes stretch breaks. We were able to get business seats on the way over to Europe last time we went which makes a huge difference on the way over because you can actually get a few hours of good rest.

Referencing the post above concerning the 737 to Hawaii from Denver, the 777 that UA flies on that route is configured for max density. Unless you have a premium seat, you are probably getting a worse seat than you get on a SWA 737. Ask anyone who has flown on it, it isn't comfortable at all.

will be on AA, but bought premium economy. Business was out of my price range. Would've cost more than the entirety of the trip just on the airplane tickets had we done that.

Those premium Econ seats are nice. I was in deep economy with a 3-4-3 config on a 777. Painful. This was also in 2011 timeframe, so cabins have mostly improved since then.

I recently flew on a UAL 777 in whatever the economy upgrade was—it was quite comfortable compared to the Euro airlines coach.

As far as Economy seating goes, I think our Max seats with in-seat power are the best seats in the industry.

The cattle car -200 launch model 777s have the most dog**** seating in the industry. The "first class" there are 4-abreast cloth seats, half of which face backwards.

That being said, that thing fits almost 400 people and is a CASM monster.
