Probably shrinking the west coast for another sweet merger. Wonder what they want for scope language relief? I would not be at all surprised if they want to operate a regional not on our seniority list. Hopefully Rooster and all of his mustachioed buddies have read some ALPA history on how well that went for United/American/Delta and all the rotting hulks of dead airlines past.

See SWAPA email with some preliminary displacement projections. Many displacements in OAK/LAS/LAX/PHX, with likely many of those being secondary displacements caused by the cascading effect.
As already mentioned in this thread, getting a domicile east of Texas is gonna be difficult for awhile.

They may ask for the moon but I think what they’re gonna need is an expansion on the PDEW numbers. I doubt they need anything else in near short term.

And they can go f$&@ themselves. I can make my schedule better with a click of the mouse. You can’t close Pandora’s box if you vote for scope relief. If they want to **** off pilots, that’s their right. I got 20 years left and don’t forget easily.

To paraphrase swa is wanting scope relief for international and near international outside of the limitations of the contract in with the use of the 737 max

Yikes…west coast displacements are ugly. Poor Denver guys. I just updated my apps. Time to abandon the sinking ship.
If you are thinking of coming here (specifically interested in west coast bases)…come…get your type rating and update your apps. The Big 3 will interview you in a heartbeat.
Heck even if I was a junior west coat based Captain I would consider getting out of here.
Best of luck to all.

Tough for a CA to bail. Diminishing returns…I got 20 yrs left. With the number of young guys hired at UAL, I’d never see left seat of a WB and I’d never climb out of the income hole from quitting. Under 4 yr FO, you’d be in a hole income wise until you upgrade (2-4 years for UAL/AA).
We are going to lose a lot of new hires.

This company has pushed things too far with how they are treating pilots and effecting their quality of life (while smiling Bob puts out more love emails about how employees are the #1 priority above all else). Never thought I’d would seriously be doing this, but I’ve spent the past week running a matrix of numbers and what-if scenarios that cover the highs and the lows, and tomorrow evening my family and I are going to sit down and discuss the possibility of what a move to United would look like. My application is ready to go, and no I do not have an interview, but getting the family buy in is important me before moving forward with the process.
