Not optimum.

Calling the best selling, most prevalent airframe the world a POS is nonsensical and shows a major prejudice.
Airframe and model are two different things.

The Toyota Corolla is the best selling automobile in the world, and it's definitely a POS. Market share doesn't dictate product superiority.

The Corolla is a great car. It's no Aston Martin, I get your point. But still, it's a great value and a dependable car.

Anyway I get it, I'd rather fly just about any other Boeing but the 37 does well by me. I'm just going to have to live it.

Treat me decently, pay me a fair wage and give me respectable job security and I will gladly fly whatever airframe you put me in that will allow you to continue to do so.

Not really. The truth, from a pilot's point of view is that the 900 is a pig. Not that it can't do the job, just that it doesn't fly as wellas an 800. That's all. And you know it's a fact.

I love the B737 avionics. What a nice setup. I just wish Boeing would modernize the overhead panel, & figure out a way to lower the noise in the cockpit. It's going to take a while for me to get over my bitterness towards Boeing for ending 757 production.

The avionics are nice, but the cockpit space and the overhead are pretty terrible.

I think they have a way to lower the noise with the vortex generators in front of the windshields, but Delta only has them on the -700's and a couple -800s. I've only flown a couple with them and they make a big difference. I can't imagine they would cost much to install on the entire fleet.

I believe the 757 will go down as one of the best all around "pilot friendly" airliners ever made.

The 800s we fly all have the eyebrow windows removed, the vortex generators and lower air conditioning fan noise. They also removed the standby altimeter vibrator all of which make the cockpit noise much lower. Am much happier in a newer NG than a classic.

It's good to hear improvements are being made. Thanks for the info guys.

Ours still don't have a second cup holder though.
