Any SWA guys who are commuters, I have a question:
Does SWA cover or offset your airport parking cost? I am in OKC, so parking is cheap ($5/day on airport) but that can add up over a year's time. Just curious if you live in a city without a base if it was paid for at all?
Also, we have a SWA customer call center on the airport, but I don't know if a shuttle runs between there and the airport, and if it does, I am guessing it goes outside of security. Curious if anyone has any experience with OKC commuting.

Thanks guys, got a PM that explained the specifics of OKC. Like most things here in this treeless paradise, employee parking is cheap and easy (how else can you get people to live here?). My starbucks bill will be way higher than my parking bill.

I happened to fly on a -700 the other day that had recently come from Air Berlin. Since I've heard nothing official regarding these leases, I can only assume that we are snapping up cheap lease returns where available until the Maxes get here in '17. This might explain why the "extra" hiring this year and into next. But good for all.
Only 4 classics leaving the fleet in '14, 1 -300 and 3 -500's.
53 NG's entering the fleet in '14, 33 -800's and 20 newly leased -700's.
Although the fleet count is remaining relatively stable, capacity will be up over 4000 seats available for sale when the last 717 leaves and is replaced with a 737. This is likely why GK is expecting the magic 15% ROIC in '14.

There will be an announcement soon of 1) new crew bases and 2) an early retirement plan for the disgruntled pilots.
This will serve to both lower the pilot payroll and create more upgrade slots for hired pilots before the acquired pilots get a chance to bid left seat in December.
You heard it here first.

CW, did you happen to notice if the aircraft had a HUD installed? I've been wondering if the company was going to bother with the expense of installing them in the "bridge" -700s we are starting to receive. Just flew AC 270 recently (one of the Ford jets) and it STILL doesn't have a HUD after all these years.
