So are current applications null and void? No more interviews until.....?
Are they looking at job fair attendees before considering others?
Why only a 2 day application window?
I have similar questions. So will the application I completed a couple of weeks ago still be in play or does everyone have to reapply during that 2 day window?

Southwest Airlines Careers

We are overjoyed by the excitement and interest surrounding the Pilot Hiring event on September 24th. The Job Fair Registration is complete, but to accommodate those who were not able to secure a time slot we will be accepting applications for the First Officer position soon. This job posting will be available at Southwest.com/Careers starting Saturday, September 24th at approximately 7:00 am CDT and close Monday, September 26th at midnight CDT.

Those that have received a time slot were sent an email, confirming a morning or afternoon appointment. Remember, we cannot accommodate any walk-ins during the job fair.

Again, we thank you for your interest in Southwest Airlines and look forward to seeing you at a future job fair.
How very JetBlue of them...

Default New 1st year pay

This week your NC negotiated a new first year pay rate for First Officers of $67.32 per TFP effective 10/1/16 if the AIP becomes a TA and is ratified. This is a 34% increase over the current CBA and equates to $77.35 per block hour adjusted.

I was thinking (or hoping) the new 1st year rate was $80/TFP. This makes more sense.

To rich for my blood lol. I'm still trying to figure out where I'll stay. Any idea when/if they intend to send out another email with relevant info on the job fair? I would have assumed they would send something out by now.

Gotta love Hilton points. The free booze at 530 and food is worth it. I checked two weeks ago and all the Hilton hotels were booked. Now there are a lot that are open for the 23rd.

No idea on the email. Is it business casual?

I just got a room Friday night at the DAL Double Tree at the Southwest corporate rate for $121. Only about $20 more than the crappy La Quinta that was my other option thru my corporate/crew rate with Xjt. I told her I wasn't a SWA employee, but she said they have been told to use the SWA rate for those of us attending the job fair. Anyone else coming in Friday night to the DT?
