For those not getting a call and exceeding basic mins:

--have you updated your app recently? What about availability?

--did you make sure you applied at BOTH the SWA Careers page AND the Pilot Credentials page?

--do you have Chief Pilot, Manager, Check Airman, or similar on your resume?

--do you have some kind of volunteer/outreach experience?

--is your application correct?

--have you checked your email spam filter?

In order to score an interview, you first have to get passed the computer...

The youngest in my class is 33 and the oldest is 54. Looking back, I see nobody younger than 30ish this year.

I am well north of that demographic and I got the call and the offer.

I'd say more than half of the guys in my interview group were of roughly the same vintage as myself.

Age, from what I can tell, had nothing to do with it.

Total time may be a little low there for a civilian. Seems like the average is still north of 8000.

Don't feel too bad. You're young! Lots of us didn't get hired until our mid to late 40s. 9/11 and age 65 really added a lot of drag to our careers. That flow is a terrific insurance policy in the event that you don't find something any sooner.
