Miami Air

Miami Air Flying

In accordance with Section 1.B.2 of the CBA, the MEC was notified late this afternoon of Spirit's intent to enter into an agreement with Miami Air to operate FLL-LBE-FLL tonight and TPA-DTW-TPA tomorrow. The stated reason was they could not complete the scheduled flights as a result of three NEOs out of service and weather delayed operations.

Having a little problem running the Airline???

Let this hellhole of an airline burn to the ground.

Whoever was in charge of ordering those NEOS should be fired, along with Bendover and Jyrinul

There is a big difference between not having crews to fill the seats and having three aircraft out of service.

Could be worse, they could have contracted Swift...

You guys need to do some research on Bendo and how he handled the mechanics at northwest. This is suspiciously similar. Not on that scale but the idea.

Wow, what amazing insight from such a knowledgeable managemt tool.

The fact you think 3 airplanes out of service warrants sub service shows how clueless you are

Still wondering where the management tool part comes from, but yeah, they don't usually have 3 extra planes setting around doing nothing. BF has lowered the utilization, but they aren't going to absorb three aircraft lines with out cancellations AND handle normal MX issues.

So what is it that makes me a management sympathizer? Is it pointing out the millennial entitlement where captains are required to pay for FO expenses while on trips, or pointing out that calling a "choker" on the phone is harassment, or pointing out that trying to organize a NO OT program is illegal? Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's wrong, and doesn't make me a management sympathizer.

Obnoxious, sure, but I still don't see management sympathizer. I don't see any evidence of it in your reply, so as expected, you have nothing.
Accusations with zero evidence - tool. Then again, I guess that's what we do here now.

I was there. Not anywhere near the same. Steenland had scab MX guys in Arizona trained ready to go when our boys walked out the door. The "replacements" showed up and the airline kept flying with scab MX! The Pilots dropped their pants so they could save the "oh mighty pension!!" AFA supported the MX and were willing to walk, not ALPA!
