Only if we're iced, then yes, definitely.

Did you ever think we might get iced not because of our negotiators but because the company isn't coming up in any meaningful way? I sure don't want our negotiators coming down that's for sure. I'm not going to boot negotiators for doing exactly what we've asked them to do. I want a deal but not one just to get one. It has to be industry standard. This contract is 7 years old and I expect the next one will be too and I'm living with crap for that long just to get it done now. We've asked for an affordable industry standard deal and they want a low tier deal. And who says we're getting iced we just got this mediator.

Hawaiian got iced and then a deal came. You get iced and turn up the media campaign to the max and watch the attrition reach numbers never seen before

We'll discuss it in September.

Right now I wear my green and support them, but not forever.

As I heard a guy say the other day, Spirit pilots will get the contract "they vote for".
Puts it in the pilots lap for sure.

I thought if the company does not come to the table with meaningful progress, the mediator starts the 30 day clock? Not getting iced is what I thought when the labor side does something to irk the mediator.

That's what I thought. Seems like getting iced would be exactly what management would want to see happen. However, supposedly Hawaiian was iced and then they got a contract a few months later. Idk

Yes, the company definitely wants it to get iced. Gives them more time for low tier wages and to get the merger with frontier done after the ipo. The question is whether the mediator will ice it or not. Which probably depends on whether the NMB thinks the contract should look like Allegiants (company proposal ) or United (unions proposal ). If the NMB thinks it should be Allegiant, it gets iced because the negotiating committee is being unreasonable in their eyes. If the NMB thinks it should look like United, they schedule more negotiation dates or threaten to release...
