Yes. The current pairing optimizer is going away. So yes I do think the schedules will be better with required union control of all aspects vs now which is non existent. I know being the “cool naysayer” is your thing, but you’re wrong. And if you’ll excuse me, I have a “Yes” vote to cast. It will be in your honor. When doing the math, trips with a 22-23:59 hotel stay are probably going to trigger the 3.5 duty rig anyways, which would pay more than the additional duty period. In the end, a layover that long, 22 or 24, will cause a large TAFB number and the 3.5 rig will be paying us for it for a majority of the pairings. Don’t worry no need to respond with that trip being an outlier and most trips will improve. |
