The only embarrassing thing is adults who refer to a T/A as a “terd burger”. I cringe everytime. Grow up.

You can not like this T/A but ar least act like an adult in your reasoning and use adult terminology lol

Monthly 5 yr capt (717?) guarantee at Delta:
$226 x 65 hours = $14,690

Monthly 5 year capt guarantee at Spirit:
$202 x 2.3% (321 multiplier) x 72 hours = $14,878

That’s how I look at it right now. More realistic IMO.

Yes, because using "lol" at the end of a sentence is "adult terminology"

Why did you use the 717 rate? You do realize they fly the 320, which has a rate of (+/-) 242 on the 319/320 for a 5 year CA. Therefore if you are comparing apples to apples, you should re-calculate your Enron math.

Compare it however you like but this is a fact: A good number of our captains will be making more $$$$ than Delta captains.

So dont act like the rates are so horrible.

Use DALs A320 rates and add in Profit Sharing & 16% DC

Also don’t use 65 hrs. Use 72 and 72 or 80 and 80. Even rsv at Delta isn’t getting 65 hrs. It’s average line value.

Same plane
Same year same hours
Also add 16% and then another 15ish% for profit sharing

Let’s not forget they have rj and Intl codeshare restrictions. Just because we don’t use it doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

"Compare it however you like?" This is your answer? I pointed out you are comparing B717 payrates. Therefore, with your analogy, why not compare Be1900 rates then, right? How about this slick.....compare same aircraft, same seat, same longevity. You will then get a more accurate comparison.

And your last comment of "don't act like the rates are so horrible" is even more indicative that you can't debate on the topic or use critical thinking skills of logic, deductive reasoning, or inference. I highlighted your fault, and (you must be of the millennial generation)you make a defensive comment that was not relevant.

Yes and more than E-190 CA at AA.

Why are you using Delta? Let me guess because they have 65 hr guarantee which gives you 7 hours of additional pay to justify your monthly income...

Lets use AA....

5 year CA 320

- Pay: $256.26
- LC Reserve: 72 hours (same as in your new TA) except we are not on-call for 24 hrs.
- 401K 16% ( difference 5%)

———-AMERICAN ——————— SPIRIT————- -- DIFFERENCE

Monthly: $18,450.72...............$14,544.00............NEG $3,906.72
Annually: $221,408.64...........$174,528.00..........NEG $46,880.64
401K: $35,425.38..................$19,198.00............ NEG $16,227.27

Combined: $256,834.02...........$193,726.............NEG $63,108.02

* Anyone hired today will upgrade in 5 years *
* Aug we go to 5:15 min day.. that’s 83 guarantee with 14 days off.. add those numbers up.

While I agree with most, not everyone will upgrade in 5 years, or be able to if they wanted. That would require 50% of the pilot group to retire at zero growth. With the current growth and retirement close to 8 years if hired today.
