Just curious how this is a Mickey Mouse operation?

I guess you’ve never asked for a bag of ice.

Or always had a hotel and transportation

Sounds like problems that occur a lot of places especially regionals.

Competitive enough to go to a real airline, not this Mickey Mouse operation!

Actually relatively weak for the bigs. TT is somewhat low and no 121. Maybe SWA.

I’m sure you’re a great guy/gal but why should Spirit settle for someone that can’t get on at other majors?

Ouch.... When i said “real” airline, i was referencing an earlier comment directed towards mine. I in know way was alluding that Spirit Is not a credible company. I think it goes without saying that my flying experience (no 121, no military) would be competetive to get into one of the big three. I have a clean record and zero skeletons in my closet that would disqualify me from any airline. It seemed (at least to me) that Spirit would more likely hire charter/corporate guys like me sooner than any other would. I have heard great things about working here (not on here at least) that attracts me to the company. That and they have a base where I live. If I have to go in and fly at a regional briefly to beef up the resume to get noticed I will. I was just hoping I could bypass that. Maybe not.

Not being argumentative... I haven’t had that problem in a long time... guess I’ve been lucky

Apply and wait a couple of months first, then try the regionals. A couple of the guys interviewing with me had no 121 time IIRC.

What does it take for one to get hired by Spirit? This is the airline I want to come to and retire for. I have 3500TT and 400TPIC yet it doesn't seem like I can get them to hire me. Ive been to job fairs, applied several times obtained internal references and letter of recs, yet I get nothing. Not even a rejection letter.

If I knew, my friends who i've been been helping would probably have got a called for at least a phone interview by now. It use to be a job fair was almost a requirement. Now, I have no idea.
