I didn't say "quick." I don't care about quick. I just want to actually upgrade some day. And our pilot group is young enough that if we stop growing I won't upgrade for twenty years or more.

We will for sure grow. It’s just a matter of how. Don’t worry about upgrades. It’ll happen. Spirit won’t stagnate. They can’t afford to.

So when I came to Spirit I knew how many planes they had on order and calculated that if they didn’t add more I could still upgrade. I’m all about another aircraft order but I wouldn’t come here now with the hope of another aircraft order we’re just as likely to merge as we are get another aircraft order....

JB and Air Canada are looking to sell 80+ E190s.... Actually, with its lowish order backlog, the updated E2 could make sense for connecting smaller markets (although I would much prefer the CSeries/A220).

I would prefer the A319 NEO.

With current order backlogs, it may take 3-4 years at least to get a new airplane (unless you use the more expensive lessors). Both Boeing and Airbus have longer backlogs than Bombardier/Airbus and Embraer. Will be interesting to see what shakes out - hopefully sooner than later.
