As a commuter sure, and only if it were completely optional. Problem is it wouldn't be optional and lineholders living in base could end up being gone for four nights at a time and some don't want that.

Nooooo! 4 on 4 off. Pick your trip mix for the 4on with pure lines.

As a commuter at RAH with PBS I always bid for the five day trips. I never got any. They always went to the super senior commuters. You build your own schedule with PBS. Other negatives notwithstanding, it does help keep the peace between commuters and in-basers.

I'm not sure exactly. Few months for DTW. There really isn't an easy way to figure that out that I can think of.

if the trips were higher credit you would never need 5-6 days in a row, 3 x 25hr 4days and you are done for the month, all i get (7+ yr ca) is 4day+2day or 3day+3day, 18hr 4days or 13.5 3day, im a commuter and its a horrible quality of life

Yep. Yet all we heard during negotiations was the amazing qol. I guess it was only amazing if you like making half pay and dropping

I would trade my new payrates for the ability to reserve drop like we used to. Once you lose QOL you don’t get it back.

Sorry I don’t agree. My point was those that actually treat this like the full time career it is never had a good quality of life. We shouldn’t have to drop half our payrates and then drop another half in credit to have qol.
