Something tells me that the old reliable engine combination won’t be offered much longer.

Default Widebody’s at Spirit?

I may be missing something obvious but what’s Spirit’s end game in not wanting to announce or have their name associated with a new plane order? Makes me think those 80 aren’t for us.

Huh?? Who said they didn't?

4th quarter this year, quarter 1 of next. They have no reason to announce at this time as we do not need them now or until 2022 per Ted and Bob.

You guys need to relax a bit.

I agree with you. I’m just saying I don’t think those 80 planes that people are talking about are for us. If they ordered planes they’d announce it, they have no reason to be secretive...

Well, actually their lack of an announcement is just part of an old tired playbook. 180 NEO's have been ordered at Farnborough this far. Maybe none are meant for Spirit, but NKS management isn't going to tip their hand until they meet their own criteria for an announcement. Think of it like a football coach talking in circles about the injury to a star athlete. The coach knows the player is out. The fans know. The opposing coaches and fans know. But the charade is played in the boorish attempt to introduce uncertainty in the opponent's staff. It's stupid, but there it is.

If we got this kind of deal, I could definitely see the A220 here at Spirit!

Spirit loves the spotlight. If any of those planes were meant for us, management would already have informed the media. They would have huge press releases boasting about these new planes and our future.

Not necessarily. Spirit can place the order, and then make the announcement when Christie officially takes over. NKS gets the spotlight, and the new leader gets to start his tenure with a splash.

Don't forget we'd be all dressed up in black and yellow as well.
