it’s been “coming in a few weeks” for a couple years. They tried to change the current training either for initial or recurrent and missed the deadline the submit for the changes. Speaks for itself just how changes and updates to training is going.

Nope. Manual revisions expected in the next few days. Regarding gates, it's a cross between an elephant and a rhinoceros.

Well let’s get this AQP up and running for initial training. We can’t have new hires worrying about pink slipping a conventional check ride, blemishing their application for legacy X.

As an aside, I've met two FOs now that have been involved in busted recurrent LOE. As explained, if one of the lines of a situational event has a Y next to it and the Y is not achieved, it is a pria bust. Retrain and retest at a later date. AQP is not unfailable. That said, i haven't met a young and new FO that seems to even care about pria, as ive flown with several that have failed initial, and they speak about it like the fail doesnt even matter.

Base vacancies happen monthly, most likely you can hold FLL before you finish training. Just flew with a guy holding a line after 7 months on property.

Was in an interview pool last week. Very large group.
The Director of training stated that they were putting the finishing touches on AQP for initial and that he expected October/November for the first AQP-initial class.
The question about holding FLL (and other bases was also asked) - the general answer was that you would probably be able to hold almost any base you wanted before you completed training. Time to hold a line, however, was largely base-dependent.
