Can (with Allegiant) the US market handle 600 ULCC planes? Can Spirit and Frontier grow this big without getting in too many turf wars?
Great questions.

I for one am disappointed we didn’t get the A220. It would be nice to fly something with similar computing power as my wrist watch...

That being said, I did a little happy dance as soon as I found out we are NOT going to be subjugated to the indignities of flying a lipstick’d up Cold War era flying pig... VNAV or not, at $208/hour I’m not paid nearly enough to work that hard.

A good day indeed.

Well, apparently some pilots are working way too hard, even for industry standard rates.

I just came across this video

https://youtu.be/DyjnqTgp9R8

Forgive me for being too critical of our fellow AA pilots, but are they not the ones that voted away their work rules for pay and now this is their campaign pitch that they are sorry for what wished (voted) for???

Makes me feel a little better knowing what we have at NK.

Btw, Congrats to all fellow Spirit pilots on the big announcement! I see plenty for new city rumors coming our way. okay maybe I’ll give the rumors a break.

The irony in that video is that particular pilot has been there less than 2 years. Great standup guy, but he just got on property.

Without numbers in front of me, I can all but bet the European air travel market is markedly smaller than the USs. EasyJet and Ryanair have almost 800 aircraft between them. This doesn’t include the Veulings, Wizzairs, Air Europas, Jet 2s, and the hordes of other smaller European ULCCs.

On the other hand, 10 years is a couple lifetimes in airline terms. I’m sure the market will look waaaay different by then and would be very surprised if NK, F9, and G4 will exist in their current state.

I know we’ve bought a bunch of the leased 319s. The fleet plan on the investor site will show a negative number when a lease return is planned and there is nothing showing anything is going to be returned going forward.

Haha. “This is Mike, I’ll be there as quickly and safely as possible”

Have fun, Mike.

The only difference for us is. “I’ll be there as quick as I can for MUP”
