Starting class soon. Going thru communications CBT and hearing about headsets and all.

Questions:

-Does people actually use the cockpit provided headsets?
-If not, what is best to use? I currently have a zulu 3
-Does Airbus do the regular dual jack?

- 90% do, 99% go speaker above FL180.
- I use a Telex 850, small, light, no battery required, pretty cheap. If you have something you are happy with, keep it.

I second the Telex850...works well for the Airbus which is quiet as long as you don't climb out at CI99

One thing iv noticed is the intercoms with ship headset are sometimes very low volume. Hard to hear the other guy but your voice is loud in your own headset. If at least one is using an aftermarket headset, seems to solve that issue. Thats what pushing me towards bringing my own. “What was that?” Is my new motto. Lol

can somebody PM me with info on logging into the CBTs?...the link I have says its restricted and I can't log on to do them

I got crazy stuff like that if I tried it from a cell phone or a tablet.
I Tried it from my laptop and works like a champ every time.

How far in advance do they set up travel for training?

I'm trying it on my laptop and I'm having the same problem
