Based on your theory, we should be getting progressively better qualified pilots . Poor to average pilots when you were hired at what, $30/hr? So today at 56/hr the pilots are 92% better than in the past. I think I’m starting to understand . Thanks for the insight

"If you are entitled to elect COBRA coverage, you must be given an election period of at least 60 days (starting on the later of the date you are furnished the election notice or the date you would lose coverage) to choose whether or not to elect continuation coverage. Each of the qualified beneficiaries for a qualifying event may independently elect COBRA coverage. This means that if both you and your spouse are entitled to elect continuation coverage, you each may decide separately whether to do so. The covered employee or spouse must be allowed to elect on behalf of any dependent children or on behalf of all of the qualified beneficiaries. A parent or legal guardian may elect on behalf of a minor child." https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/fil...e-consumer.pdf Still a crying shame this issue wasn't resolved in the last round of negotiations. |

I got TBNT. While everyone was qualified I was very shocked by the low experience levels. I don't know if this is a Spirit strategy or if this is representative of who they have applying so I'd encourage all low timers to put their app in.

I just went through the interview and I was impressed at the quality of interviewees. I’m 6500TT, 3000PIC and felt like I was middle of the pack. It was a good mix of RJ Captains, Military, high time corporate, with a few 787 guys from other carriers.
You mean we are interviewing/hiring Norwegian Air Int pukes? |

Lol really? How did you get your sweet jet time? It's not like we enjoy doing the same job as mainline so some Delta captain can buy a new boat every February. Give me a break. Unless you have a good corporate gig or can get a highly competitive military slot... Guess what? Your only avenue to get "qualified" in this ponzi scheme of 121 airline hiring is to go fly at a regional.

So you're no different than a Norwegian guy. He/she is just trying to get their flight time and move on too. I love how regional guys who are taking legitimate mainline flying are horrified by another guy doing the same. Regional. Mil. Corp. Norwegian. I couldn't care less where the FO came from so long as they can do their job.

So tell me, in all your infinite wisdom what exactly are the regional guys supposed to do to build experience and even have a shot at the majors? |

How in the hell did a regional guy “sell their soul”!? You just sound ignorant and dumb. The ones that sold their soul for a few extra bucks are the old timers at the legacy’s that created the regional model by giving up scope.

They did what they had to do which is exactly what the Norwegian guys did. You hired with 250 hours and couldn't spell 'jet' but are now all indignant that someone else is doing the same thing that you did. That is called hypocrisy.
