Anyone try the aftermarket Airbus seat? It's approved?
How about the aftermarket tray table?
Im just curious why anyone would lunk around an iPad mount, remove the one on the plane, and mount theirs?
Will this be the new thing, "putting the company iPad mount back up when you're done?"

I guess I don’t get it. I can’t think why I want the iPad in front of me, something to kick accidentally in flight, something to fall down, maybe into the “hell hole”. Nobody flies the plates on an approach any longer, so I guess I just don’t understand the need.

Ok, just saw the ad for it.

It sounds like you’d be using the tray table the wrong way.
Interesting to see someone looking into utilizing the slot of a folded tray table but I think it’s far more useful to just use it for lunch or coffee. That thing would just get in the way.

Cons? The entire list of people you fly with will laugh at you for being a bottle of vinegar and water with a long nozzle attached to it.
Make wise decisions. Don't be a douche.

No need to bash. It’s one of our own an should be applauded for having a side hustle as we should all have one for insurance. It takes a lot of effort to get where he is in development. If it’s not for you that’s cool but don’t bash. Maybe a kind criticism so he can better it.

Iv used it. I like it. My only thing is it takes up more space in my bag. Not much, though. Also, to use the tray table, you have to take the iPad down. Its real fast on and off so not a big deal. Those are my two cons
What I like most, is everything is in your scan. So you dont need to look left or right, away from the screens to look at your chart. Good for a quick double check of restrictions etc. This also helps during briefing. Alot of guys with the company mount talk towards their window and I can never hear them. Its better to take it off that mount and talk towards the other pilot, most dont do that though. With this mount, its easier to hear the other guys brief if they dont make an effort to talk loud enough haha.
This is also great for those hard IFR days, high workload, or rough turbulence. You dont need to turn your head and lose your scan to check something. It creates a highly efficient instrument scan. Almost as if we had another ND showing charts.
Stays in place real well. There are spacers as part of the mount for varying tray tables. The clipboard sized for the company mount works good too if you like to use lots of paper.
Doesnt get in the way of legroom, and im well over 6 foot.
