You probably weren’t around about 13years ago when we hired not just CFI’s… but 250 hour Comm/Multi pilots. Not because of a pilot shortage, but so the VP of Ops at the time could get his name on the side of a library or building over at Riddle.

Not very good!!!! Was one little princess that went through four check airmen that wouldn't sign her off until the last was told "failure wasn't an option". Such B.S.! And no....wasn't Jryi........

Well, one of them created the system/flows app that a lot of you probably downloaded to learn the plane, and another got about five times the OE hours the rest of us never would…… so I would say it varies widely.
Nope, predates him. Brought along some of his whiz kids interns from NW to develop training who never actually flew the jet. Some of the CBTs still have their narrations and it makes me cringe to this day.
