The Spirit OCC will not be in the city or County of Nashville. It will be located in Williamson county (Franklin/Brentwood).
Average home price per Zillow....$499,000. I guess that’s cheap if you are moving from California!

Housing is very expensive, traffic along I65 corridor is miserable during rush hour.
Williamson County is known to offer big temporary tax cuts to businesses that locate there. Nissan American relocated their from Cali.
Typical SE US weather, a few tornadoes here and there, ice storm every 3-4 years.
BNA employee parking for commuters is $300/yr.

By car Nashville is 1 day's drive from 80% of the US population. It's a right to work state, no income tax and is still a lot less expensive than other major metropolitan areas. Although that is changing since the most recent country wide mass migration happening.

Actually I be in BNA today, Well aware of what's going on in BNA. Over all it's cheap. Taxes are low and homes are cheap. Look at the dollar per square foot price on homes. Clearly a lot of people think I'm correct or they wouldn't be moving in, Click on the link above someone posted. $500k is the median price not the average! Big difference. Look at the taxes on $400k! $2400 a YEAR!! That's CHEAP!! Price per sq/ft runs $124! Thats cheap!!

They could outsource OCC to India and the next day there would be pilot rumors of 350’s and flights to Mumbai

Unless you have been around long enough to have gone through training in Miramar, most pilots have been there what, twice? Initial new hires and Upgrade, neither visit was really productive or necessary.

We don’t even go there as a new hire anymore. That said, I’m still hoping for a BNA base even if it’s unlikely for a while.

I went there as a new hire six months ago.

Anything West of the Mississippi is still wild and unexplored country to the braintrust whereas BNA isn’t that far from the greater Ohio River Valley.
