I assume if there is a bailout it will be similar to how the auto industry was bailed out, it’s not just going to be free money for the airlines to do as they please, that would be seen as a blatant government subsidy. If AA/Delta/United or even Spirit look like they are going to fail they’ll probably get government loans with some government oversight and they’d have to pay it back ala General Motors. Ford was hurting too during that time frame but didn’t need to take any government money to continue operating so they chose not to.

I just hope they can help the people who will probably get furloughed with some kind of assistance so they can get through their time on the street without going bankrupt.

Hopefully, the furlough payout plus unemployment would be enough to dog paddle past a short furlough period, and most were smart enough to have a rainy day fund stashed away for anything much worse. Hopefully.

Indeed. You guys at NK will be fine in the end, whether that’s organically or through consolidation. I’m so convinced that I’m the proud new owner of 1200+ shares of SAVE (and 500+ shares of JBLU).......which coincidently would make a great marriage.

Yeah I remember in 2002 guys loading up on United at 4 bucks a share. The airline survived. Their investment did not. Spirit will be sub 5 in 2 weeks
