Over $21 now

squawkoff 06-04-2020 02:26 PM

I have a $4 trailing stop.

Douglas9 06-04-2020 04:26 PM

Up 165%! Seriously, this is the only airline I’ve worked for in 35 years that runs it like a business. We are in position to do some great things.

ShyGuy 06-05-2020 12:55 AM

Pre market showing 23.37

DrSteveBrule 06-05-2020 05:12 AM

lol this is absurd. No way this holds. Haha i bought a bunch of luckin coffee yesterday on a friend's pro tip. Genius.

Fredturbo 06-05-2020 05:32 AM

Still have my 6K shares from the single digits. This isn’t hype, the airlines were simply and massively oversold. Sorry for those who believed “this is crazy, insane, etc. It just can’t keep going up”. Lol.....Things are getting better by the day. I’ll sell 1k at 28 and hold the rest until she gets back to the 50s (which might be a few years, but I have nowhere to go). Glta....

Douglas9 06-05-2020 05:57 AM

Stocks and options up 370%!

week 06-05-2020 06:07 AM

It’s pretty amazing owning SAVE this week. I have a feeling there will be a big dip before we reach 2019 prices though. Seems too good to be true :D

Tranquility 06-05-2020 06:13 AM

I did some profit taking. Still own about half of my position, but didn’t want to get greedy.

DrSteveBrule 06-05-2020 07:19 AM

oversold or not, the stock was trading at 33 just 6 months ago while running a full schedule and taking net profits. Now were losing at last word 4 million per day (im sure it's less now) and the stock price is 25? Fundamentally, that wont hold. Spirit will recover faster than others and has a chance at pushing toward the old 60 to 80 dollar level if things go just right, but don't act like you're surprised if it falls back to sub 20 by end of day. 22 is a much better price, but it should've gotten there in july, not now. Either there's gonna be a big red candlestick soon or a long period of sideways action.

RustyChain 06-05-2020 09:23 AM

Second quarter earnings will shake off this "irrational exuberance". I bet it sees 15 before it sees 30 again.

FlyGuy2002 06-05-2020 10:43 AM

If it touches $15, perfect opportunity to buy more on the dip

Tranquility 06-05-2020 11:34 AM

Sold half at almost a pure double and it hit this morning at $25.50. Now playing with the house’s money and would like to sell with a 3 handle somewhere. Until earnings come out and we can see the EPS, valuations are practically impossible (unless you’re using tangible book value). I’ll patiently wait as I now have my original money back.

ShyGuy 06-05-2020 12:03 PM

Looks like the high was 25.94 and then a sell off spree so closed at 22.62

I didn't sell any :o

week 06-05-2020 02:13 PM

It’s been right in line with the JETS etf just swings at a higher magnitude it seems

comrcap 06-05-2020 03:05 PM

Agreed! Sold everything today! This is a pause area. Don’t know how long, but it’s a show me time. It’s probably going to consolidate for a while before next leg up. We just burned the shorts. Now we need new buyers based on info. Increased schedule in July is already baked in the price. Check the rev loads going forward on the employee travel site. Look at the most profitable routes for available non rev seats. If there’s a shortage, that’s confirmation. Also, at Comair we always said training preceded growth. If furloughs canceled and hiring resumes..... that’s mgmt signal of increased flying and growth.

Ah, insider trading....
That worked SO WELL for Martha Stewart.

Sold it all today. One hell of a ride from the 50s to 7. Luckily bought enough around 10 to bring my basis down in the low 20s. Broke even with today. Didn’t want to roll my dice and hold over the weekend. If it goes back down I may get back in but I don’t feel like what we saw the last couple days had much justification. Positive signs but we are still losing money. Maybe after the blood hits the wall on Q2 numbers I’ll jump in again.

comrcap 06-06-2020 04:51 AM

Bad earnings are already priced in. My guess is the cash burn is decreasing with increased ridership. That actually will propel the stock up. “Less bad,is good!”

ShyGuy 06-06-2020 02:23 PM

SAVE fell after 1st Q earnings because the loss was worse than expected. 2nd Q earnings and what SAVE stock does all depends on if it falls above or below expectations. Hoping it's better than expected! :D

A lot can happen between now and July 22nd. I was hoping SAVE would see $30 by Xmas. It may touch $30 before July. It’s risen on zero new information. If earnings suck in July, this could easily see $10 again.

If it touches $10 again I'm picking up 3850 shares to bring the total to 5000.

Turbine 06-06-2020 05:28 PM

pilots talking about their strategic financial investments in.... airlines, that's some funny ****

very subtle humble brag...

BeechedJet 06-06-2020 08:54 PM

I got excited when I saw the price around $25, took out a payday loan to buy 1000 shares. Was typing so fast I bought a bunch of DAVE stock.

Hope the restaurant industry turns things around.

That's not the funny part. The funny part is that I'm at a 450% one month return on SAVE, CZR and RAD while Warren Buffett is telling people to buy his indexes.

Warren Buffett isn’t a junior NK pilot day trader. He never has been a day trader, His record of buying and holding speaks for itself. I highly doubt your 450% return comes close to Warren Buffett territory. 😂

Point is, pros are getting their asses chapped a bit because joe schmos arent3 feeding their money pots in the traditional manor, and Warren Buffet is one of them who has been publicly upset with amateur stock pickers.

90% of fund managers can’t beat the market any given year. A few get lucky and do it, some beat it on schemes (Madoff) then a very small few buy and hold for a long time horizon and do well.
Right now we are looking at a very very small window in time in terms of a lifetime of earnings and investments. But congratulations on your 450%. Definitely a nice piece of cash for doing absolutely nothing. Can’t beat that!

DrSteveBrule 06-08-2020 07:02 AM

yeah man sit on couch, click buy. sit on couch click sell. Scratch head while picking calls. There was a two week period there where my online casino roulette had better returns, but all is well.

This is as she buts up against 20 (which is still a fantastic price). The economy is opening back up and people will travel. We should see the 30s later this year. Or you can try to guess the price based on a hunch and miss out on massive gains. I prefer to make triple digits versus single digits. Glta...

Hey kiddo, sorry about all my “I have a hunch” thoughts creating some sort of panic today. It’s just that I got so emotional.

The beauty of a day trade account I took my loss yesterday. Buy back in today at a 30% discount off the 25.50. I was aiming for 18.50, got 18.50, sold at 20.00. It's a beautiful thing. Out before JPow says a word.

comrcap 06-11-2020 01:52 AM

Well it filled that gap between 17.50 and18.50! How’s your guys load factor looking!

Almost 15.50 now.

I'm not sure overall, but all of my flights have been about 75% or better the last few days. We don't seem to be blocking seats either except for the BFS for a stu( which is just ridiculous).

nludy 06-11-2020 06:51 AM

You guys should have took your profits. SAVE went up for no reason. The virus is still here. The stock go right back down.

Slowhawk 06-11-2020 06:58 AM

Why do I even have trading apps on my phone when I can just come here for a new post every time the stock price moves :D

I did when I reached a 125% profit. Spirit hasn't been a buy and hold for months now.

So what's the new low now?

Nice! I hope nobody is holding right now that got in under $10. Take those profits and run. Buy again later.

I won't lie, I did give back $4000 before I sold, needed a little push. Watching the sentiment out there right now is hilarious. Market down a 1000pts because of a potential 2nd wave? This is ludicrous! What are they going to do, go back in hiding? Most couldn't afford it the first time.

Sick and broke OR just sick. Those are the choices!

I guess we could all go and live in the utopia called 'Seattle'. 🤣

Well from the media's perspective, never miss a good opportunity to scare people
